Director of Business Development
Shawn is Director of Business Development for ConsultLink. Shawn’s passion for healthcare grew from experiencing the gaps in how healthcare is delivered while caring for his grandmother and her numerous comorbidities. He has also directly experienced the gap in healthcare information exchange, which led to delays in his own diagnosis and care. These experiences inspired Shawn to pursue solutions to the healthcare industry’s biggest challenges. While volunteering in multiple inpatient and outpatient settings, he experienced firsthand the challenges that healthcare providers have with integrating information technologies into their daily workflows, and how this negatively affects patient care. He last worked as an Assistant Fitness Director for Ultra Body Fitness, where he developed customer acquisition strategies and honed his sales and marketing skills. When Shawn isn’t working, he enjoys engineering software, reading, and the great outdoors. He holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from Texas Woman’s University and a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Texas Health Science Center.
